COOL BUZZ BACK IN THE NINETEES

Cool Buzz is an independent label for alternative roots and modern blues. The label was founded in 1998 by releasing the first album “This Time No lies” of Boyd Small. This and the latter followed releases gained highly international acclaim. The collaboration between Dutch, Belgian and American artists led to a unique musical stronghold. In a short period of time Cool Buzz grew out to be one of the most leading record labels for contemporary roots music in the Benelux.

Reviewer/journalist Herman v/d Horst of music magazines "OOR" and "Jazz" wrote:
"For years Dutch blues had a bad name by being old-fashioned, boring, predictable and 12 bars music from despondent beer bellies. Until the Cool Buzz label arises and hits the whole dozed off business off of their socks. They bring back the blues like it's originally meant to be: raw, straight-forward, exciting, with soul. In short: the most hip, exciting and sexy music that can be found. They are no purists, but they show an exceptional wide and refreshing vision upon the genre, to where the door to related rootsmusic is wide open."
